Disclosure keys and audits

Statement and audit report

Under More, Statement and audit report lists your private activity and lets you download it as a report: a readable text file and a JSON file. It's built in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Every line names its transaction on X1, so someone who also has your disclosure key can check each line against the chain.

Disclosure key

A disclosure key (it starts with x1ppview1) is read-only: it can't move your money. Whoever has it sees:

  • every deposit you made;
  • every private send, with who it went to;
  • every payment you received, with who sent it;

past and future, for as long as you use these keys.

Giving it can't be taken back. Give it only to someone who should see all of that, such as an accountant or an auditor. Nobody else has a copy: not FortiBlox, not anyone.

Find it under More, Disclosure key. It isn't copied to your clipboard automatically: select it, or save it as a file and hand the file over.

Checking someone's disclosure key

If someone gives you their disclosure key, open the app and choose Check someone's disclosure key (or "Check it here"). It shows their history, read from the chain. No wallet is needed, and the key is never put in a link. If you're unlocked, you stay unlocked.

If someone asks about your payments

Any request goes through you. No one, FortiBlox included, can read your history without your key. The people you paid, and the people who paid you, can still prove what they received and from whom.
